TINKER is a non-profit organization working to eliminate the biases that deter young women from becoming engineers. We establish engineering summer programs for high school girls on university campuses that break down the gender gap barrier.
Developed by female engineers, our curriculum allows girls to explore, create, and TINKER with real world engineering! Register for a camp today!
Our first program was held at the University at Buffalo in 2015. In 2016, TINKER offered summer camps at SUNY New Paltz and the University at Buffalo. We have now successfully hosted 6th TINKER programs. In addition to our summer programs, TINKER is expanding into hosting TINKER Days, a free afternoon of exploring engineering for middle school girls!
Project TINKER, Inc. is partnering with the Unviersty at Buffalo group, Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) to bring you the first ever TINKER Day program! The program will be held on the University at Buffalo North Campus (Davis Hall) on Saturday, Ocotber 26th, 2019 from 10am to 1pm. The particpants will be building their own Geodesic Dome using nothing but newspaper, tape, and scissors. Regitration is free and you can register here.
