Now introducing TINKER Days! TINKER Days will be a free afternoon program for local middle schools to particpate in to experience real-world engineering. The first ever TINKER Day will be held on Saturday, October 26th.


Project TINKER, Inc. is partnering with the Unviersty at Buffalo group, Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) to bring you the first ever TINKER Day program! The program will be held on the University at Buffalo North Campus (Davis Hall) on Saturday, Ocotber 26th from 10am to 1pm. The particpants will be building their own Geodesic Dome using nothing but newspaper, tape, and scissors. Regitration is free and you can register here. TINKER is a summer engineering camp for incoming high schools girls (i,e. 9th-12th grade students in fall 2020).

Cost of registration is $425 and covers all camp activities including:

  • 5-6 fun, hands-on engineering projects
  • 2-3 company tours, and transportation to the companies
  • Presentations from engineering professors at the school
  • TINKER T-shirts, drawstring bag and other camp supplies
  • Closing ceremony: On the last day of the camp, there will be a banquet closing ceremony. The banquet will include dinner and presentations from the camp participants. All participants can invite up to two guests. The entire banquet is covered in the cost of registration. The banquet will begin at 5pm on the last day of camp. Location will be announced.
  • Orientation: On the first day of camp, there will be a one hour parent/guardian orientation. The orientation will review all of the activities of the camp. Parents and guardians will be able to meet TINKER staff and engineering professors.
  • An opportunity to network with women engineers

TINKER staff will be on site before and after the camp times in case parents or guardians need to drop off their students early or pickup their students late.
